2026-27 Age Definitions

Age definitions are set by the OVR and USAV, which are the governing bodies of club volleyball.

To determine what age group your player should try out for, use her age as of June 30, 2027. Player's age groups are based on the age they will be turning after July 1, 2026.

At Rogue, we feel it is best for players to compete within their grade when possible. Some players may qualify for 2 different age groups, depending on their date of birth and grade. For example, a player's birthdate is July 15, 2010 but is in the 9th grade. This player qualifies for the 16s age group at all 3 National, American and Regional Levels but can also play for the 15s age group at the Regional Level.

During tryouts, we identify players who qualify for multiple age groups so they can be placed on the team that coaches determine to be the best fit.

Refer to the charts below to help determine what age group/division your athlete qualifies for.
