Director of Communications

Teri and her husband, Matt, moved to the Lewis Center/Galena area over 20 years ago. They have 3 children: Tyler, 17 and an avid golfer; Madison, 15 and Makenzie, 13, both volleyball players entering their 6th club season in 2018.
Teri entered the volleyball world when Madison and Makenzie participated in a summer camp hosted by the Olentangy Orange High School and run by the high school players. They both fell in love with the sport and for the first time in years, chose to play rec volleyball over travel soccer that fall. In October that same year, both girls tried out for Club Volleyball for the 1st time. They both earned spots to play on regional teams at a local regional club. After 2 seasons with the club, the girls were ready for a change and in the fall of 2014 tried out at Advancement Academy in Lewis Center, making top American teams in their age groups. In 2015, both Madison & Makenzie earned positions on National teams. It was a learning and growing year for the coaches, players and parents as the National level is very different than anything Teri and her girls had experienced in the past. It included playing much stronger competition, traveling out of state for 3-day tournaments, increased practices - just to name a few changes. But both Madison & Makenzie’s teams qualified for USAV Nationals that first National season. It was a very exciting time!
For the 2016-17 Club season, both girls remained on the top National teams and both teams qualified for USAV Nationals again. In June 2017, Makenzie’s 13 Green team won the National Championship in the American Division. A first ever for the club! And Madison’s 15 Green team took 3rd in the American Division and Madison was named to the All Tournament Team in the 15s American Division - an honor that brought Teri to tears! Teri couldn’t be more proud of her girls and their accomplishments.
During the past 3 club seasons, Teri has been team mom to both Madison and Makenzie’s teams. Doing so, she has learned so much about what happens behind the scenes of Club Volleyball. She brings this experience, along with a passion for the game of volleyball, to the Director of Communication role she holds with Rogue Volleyball.
Outside of Rogue, Teri has been following Tyler through his Senior golf season at Olentangy Orange High School, as well as spending nearly 4 nights a week watching Madison, who plays on the Varisty team at Olentangy Orange, and Makenzie, who plays on the 8th grade team at Olentangy Berkshire Middle School. Teri is also a Realtor with Baker Realty Group in Westerville and loves to be crafty. Her favorite place, though, is on the beach with her family!
